The Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Innovation Center (AMMIC)

The Global Training Center for Composites, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Processes, located at Edmonds Community College, offers the most comprehensive workforce training programs available for the aerospace industry and manufacturers looking to advance their skills in the areas of composites, advanced materials and manufacturing processes. 

AMMIC is connected with Edmonds Community College's three Centers of Excellence that include:

  • MatEd- A national science Foundation national resource Center for Materials Education.

  • AMTAS Edmonds Community College is a member of the Federal Aviation Administration Center of Excellence for Advanced Material for Transport and Aircraft structures. 

  • Materials and Process Development Center A Washington state Community and Technical College Center of Excellence.

AMMIC has strategic partnerships with leading universities and organizations on a worldwide basis which it leverages with Edmonds Community College s own expert instructors and resources to advance the skills and knowledge businesses need today.

DOL TRIAD II Advanced Manufacturing Grant
Free Tuition and Books for Advanced Manufacturing Students. The grant is part of a U.S. job training initiative to prepare workers for new job opportunities in high growth sectors of the American economy. The training will produce 600 new graduates in advanced manufacturing fields with an Applied Technology Associate (ATA) degree, specialty certificate, or Associate of Applied Science – Transfer (AST) degree.
